Locally owned Asante Health System is the region's most comprehensive health care provider and its flagship hospital Rogue Valley Medical Center has played a leading role in the Rogue Valley's emergence as the area's premier source for health care.

Asante, a not-for-profit health system that serves more than 530,000 residents in nine southern Oregon and northern California counties, is governed by a volunteer board of directors composed of local physicians and community leaders. The organization's mission is simple: "Asante exists to provide quality health care services in a compassionate manner, valued by the communities we serve."

Five values guide Asante: excellence, respect, honesty, service and teamwork. Those words, defined and embraced by Asante's 3,200 employees, guide the system as it provides the best in healthcare. Asante offers employees not only competitive wages and benefits but also an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

RVMC, located in Medford, is the regional referral and trauma center featuring the latest medical technology and clinical expertise. RVMC has been honored as one of the nation's Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals three times. In addition to its nationally recognized heart care, the 305-bed hospital offers advanced orthopedic care through Rogue Valley Joint Replacement Center and state-of-the-art oncology care at the Dubs Cancer Center including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Stereotactic RadioSurgery (SRS). Other key services include neurology and neurosurgery, Bariatric surgery, rehabilitation services, the region's only neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally recognized diabetes care center, home care and hospice services and a sleep lab. Construction is continuing on the RVMC Rebuild, an extensive project to renovate and expand the hospital to meet our region's growing healthcare needs. The RVMC Rebuild, which began in 2003, will add 250,000 square feet to the hospital, including a new Emergency Department, an integrated Diagnostic Imaging Center, expanded and enhance Surgical Services and a four-story bed tower for private, family-centered care. Asante also operates Three Rivers Community Hospital (TRCH) in Grants Pass, a community hospital that offers a wide range of high-quality medical care to residents of Josephine County and beyond. The 98-bed hospital was designed paying careful attention to patient needs and offers a healing environment. The high-tech capabilities of this modern facility will provide excellent health care for many years. The hospital was designed to have a strong link to the community it serves, this can be observed through the fact that each of the floors in the hospital are named after one of the three rivers that flow through Josephine County. TRCH Homepage

Three River Community Hospital became the first hospital in the United States to receive the designation of “Mother Friendly” by the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services, an achievement that also required the hospital to hold the title of “Baby Friendly” as designated by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund. Team the award winning Family Birth Center with an up and coming Surgical and Cancer fighting medical community and you understand why the river’s enduring energy and harmony with Southern Oregon Symbolize a hospital and a medical community that are truly in flow with the future. Asante was formed in 1995 to better meet the needs of our communities. Since that time, we have continued to raise the level of medical care available by investing in new technology and services. We have also worked to enhance the wellness of the 530,000 people who live in the nine counties we serve.

We are devoted to serving our communities and we are proud to be not only owned by those communities we serve but part of them as well.
